Submissions for National Book Prize

The National Book Council is inviting authors and publishers to submit books published in Malta during 2006 for the next edition of the National Book Prize.

Total prize money amounts to about Lm10,000. A committee of experts will confirm in which category a book will compete.

This year a certificate of merit will be awarded to the publishing house that submits the largest number of poetry books. The NBC will also be rewarding an author, publisher or illustrator who has dedicated his or her life to the book.

Everyone is invited to submit nominations. Members of the NBC cannot be nominated. Forms can be acquired from the secretary of the NBC and have to be submitted with the books.
