John XXIII Library is 45 years old
John XXIII Library was founded in 1962 at Xavier House, the Jesuit Residence at 226, St. Paul Street, Valletta. Its principal aim from the beginning was that of making available to all and spreading the teachings of the Second Vatican Council.
The library now houses around 25,000 books and specialises in all branches of Theology, Philosophy, Sacred Scripture, Spirituality, Church and World History, General Knowledge, etc. The library also subscibes to over 50 journals and periodicals.
The John XXIII Library is open to an adult public four times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4.00pm to 7.00pm and on Saturdays from 9.00am to noon. 08.04.2007
