€500,000 allocated for University library upgrade
Half a million euro has been allocated to upgrade the University library's systems, staff, and software in line with international standards over a period of three years from 2009-2011.
The funding will come from the European Social Fund (ESF) under the Cohesion Policy programme 2007-2013 - Operational Programme II 'Empowering people for more jobs and a better quality of life'.
The ESF 1.22 project aims at enhancing the library's electronic provision of information to support the University's teaching and research programmes.
