National Archivist on accessibility to historical research

In a letter to The Sunday Times (18 March 2007), the National Archivist has clarified issues relating to the statement by the Malta Historical Society. Mr Farrugia made reference to the National Archives Act (2005) that clearly indicates the National Archives as the depository of all public records worthy of permanent preservation.
