4,131 hours of research at the National Archives

During 2006, as estimated 4,131 hours of research were carried out at the National Archives. This figure emerges from the first annual report of the National Archives, a copy of which was presented in Parliament on Tuesday 20th February 2007.

The report also indicates that the Archives were used by 1,569 researchers that used 5,391 documents during their research.
