The history of the Order of the Knights of Saint John will feature in an exhibition; ‘Tuitio Fidei Et Obsequium Pauperum’ (Defence of the faith and assistance to the poor) at the National Library.
The 6th International Archives Day will be celebrated next Sunday, 9th June. The International Council on Archives was created on the 9th of June 1948 under the auspices of UNESCO.
A new exhibition at the National Library of Malta starting on the 8 June 2013.
The event which is in collaboration with the Malta Library and Information Association (MaLIA) will take place at the National Archives, Hospital Street, Rabat on Tuesday 11 June 2013 at 6.00 pm.
The Library will be extending its opening hours for the examination period Thursday 2 May 2013 to Friday 14 June 2013.
On the occasion of World Book Day celebrated worldwide on April 23rd, Banif Bank (Malta) made a donation to the Gzira Local Council, which funds will go towards purchasing some of the latest publications for its library.
Over 1050 volumes of the private book collections of the late Dennis Vella and Neville Ferry were donated to the MCAST Institute of Art and Design’s Library, to be used by the College’s art students.
