Join MaLIA
The MaLIA (Malta Library and Information Association), founded in 1969, is the professional association that represents librarians, information workers and archivists in Malta. The MaLIA is under the direction of a Council elected during the Annual General Meeting held every February. The Terms of operation of the MaLIA are governed by the statute (last revision 2006). Membership subject to approval by Council is open to: - professional librarians and information workers;
- library and information trainees;
- persons gainfully employed in library activities and information work;
- professional archivists, archives trainees, and other persons working in archives.
The membership fees are as follows: New Members - € 11.65 (Lm 5) + € 2.33 (Lm 1) enrolment fee
Renewals - € 11.65 (Lm 5) payable at the beginning of each calendar year.
